Whether you’ve been attending a church for years or you’ve never set foot in one before, we’re a place where you can belong.
We’re an active community of people from diverse backgrounds with unique life stories, perspectives and challenges. We very much want people to feel they can be themselves with us so we don't expect you to have life sorted out, to put on a smile just for church or to be an expert on the Bible. Come as you are, with all your challenges and your uniqueness.
For us, church isn't just about listening to a sermon on a Sunday morning. It’s about friendship, community, serving our loving God and walking together through life’s difficulties. We believe that our God heals hurts, transforms lives and has a unique plan for everyone. Including you!

Attending our Sunday service for the first timeHere’s what to expect
Our Sunday service starts at 9.30am each week and lasts approximately 1 hour 10 minutes. Most people arrive about 10 minutes early.
Afterwards, we get together for a chat over tea, coffee and plenty of biscuits. You don’t have to stay, but it’s a great opportunity to socialise and get to know people.
Our Sunday services are pretty informal with a mix of modern songs and favourite hymns. We also share teaching from the Bible that you can take into your day to day life. The Bible may be old, but its message is very much for today.
We’re a family-friendly church and children are always welcome. We run fun groups for school age children and teenagers, and for the younger ones there are plenty of toys to play with during the service.
Parking at our church is easy and free. We have a car park opposite our church in Kents Hill, Milton Keynes, and there’s another larger car park at the sports ground just up the road. The sat nav should bring you straight here using postcode MK7 6HQ.

Common questions answered
It’s my first time at your church. What do I wear?
Whatever you usually wear and whatever makes you feel comfortable. There’s no dress code. We just want people to be themselves.
Is there parking?
Yes. Parking is free and very convenient. There’s a good size car park directly opposite our church, in front of the school, and another car park just up the road at the sports ground.
Is there a collection during the service?
It’s always free to attend our church and we don’t have a collection during the service. There is a contactless donation terminal inside the main worship area for anybody who would like to make a donation but there’s absolutely no pressure to give.
I’ll be coming with my kids. What if they’re noisy?
It’s not a problem. If your child decides to run around or give their own ‘sermon’, don’t worry. We’re used to it and it’s great to have children with us.
I’ll be coming on my own. Will people talk to me?
Yes, absolutely. We love it when new people join us. However, if you prefer us to give you a little space while you settle in, just let us know. That’s fine too.
What if I don't know what I believe?
That’s completely fine. Our church is a safe space to explore without judgment or expectation. We have people at all different stages of their spiritual journey so you will fit right in, wherever you are on your own journey.
You’re an ecumenical church. What does that mean?
As an ecumenical church, we bring together different church traditions - in our case, Baptist, Methodist, Church of England and United Reformed - to worship together as one. Our church is the perfect place for anyone looking for a united Christian community in the heart of Milton Keynes where everyone is welcome.
What if I have questions about Christianity?
Pastor Ian is always happy to chat through your questions. We also run a monthly community drop-in for faith and wellbeing support where you can chat to Pastor Ian or one of our helpers, borrow a book from our library or find specific sources of local support. For a short course exploring Christianity, come along to one of our Alpha courses.
I’m lonely. Can your church help?
People come along to our church for all sorts of reasons, including loneliness. Christ the King Community Church welcomes everyone into our church family. What if I have a problem?
Our pastoral care team, led by Pastor Ian, are great listeners and are here to support you during life’s more challenging moments. While we may not have all the answers, a listening ear and a helping hand from someone who cares can make all the difference.
